What is the process for undergoing Coolsculpting Elite?

Downtown Medspa performs Coolsculpting Elite onsite in the welcoming and spa-like offices.

On the day of your appointment, you change out of your clothes and into a gown. Then, you lie down on an exam table. Your Downtown Medspa provider uses a handheld device to suction the targeted pocket of fat into an applicator. 

Next, your provider turns the applicator on, causing it to cool and freeze your fat cells. Your provider repeats the same steps several times, treating each pocket of fat. After treatment, your provider removes the applicator and provides recovery instructions.

Is Coolsculpting Elite safe?

Coolsculpting Elite is safe and usually well-tolerated, but it can present risks. In the days after treatment, some people experience swelling, bruising, increased sensitivity, redness, and localized pain. To reduce the risk of these and other issues, follow your provider’s instructions carefully. 

What is recovery like after Coolsculpting Elite?

After your Coolsculpting Elite appointment, you can return to work and exercise and perform other daily activities right away. You might experience some skin sensitivity or bruising for a day or two, but these symptoms should subside quickly. How many Coolsculpting Elite treatments will I need?

The number of Coolsculpting Elite treatments you need depends on several factors, including the areas of your body treated and your goals. Usually, Downtown Medspa recommends a series of 2-3 sessions per area.  

How long do the results of Coolsculpting Elite last?

The results of Coolsculpting Elite are permanent. Once the device freezes your fat cells, those specific cells can’t return. What’s more, if you eat a nutritious, balanced diet and exercise regularly, your results can last a lifetime.
